It is just 72 kilometres from Kathmandu to the rafting starting point of the lower Bhote Kosi River at Lamosangu. The river flows through one of the most beautiful gorges in Nepal and the lower section offers a technical run though class 3-4 rapids and an insight to river life.
If you only have a short time for a rafting trip then this is one of the best Nepal has to offer. Our starting point is just 72 km away, heading east from Kathmandu along the friendship highway past the beautiful roof scape of Bhaktapur and through Dhulikhel with its mountain views. The first day offers a technical run through class 3-4 rapids, getting the team paddling well together and ready for day 2 when you will experience the fun and adventure of the Upper Bhote Kosi and its class 4-5 rapids with names like “frog in the blender.”
